Revised ObamaCare sign-up deadline A Christmas Present

Revised ObamaCare sign-up deadline A Christmas Present

President Obama Talking to the American People 3 days ago about Obama Care

While millions of Americans make a last-minute rush to establishments they are discover another Christmas present Tuesday, Americans in 36 states are acquiring one more chance to authorize up for ObamaCare after the White House extended Monday's deadline by 24 hours.

The target date to enroll in insurance in order to have insurance coverage by Jan. 1 was meant to be Tuesday at twelve o'clock at night. However the management has actually programmed its systems so that any person which got in line Monday but takes up until Tuesday night to enroll will still acquire covered by Jan 1.

Nonetheless, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services tried to understate the change. A spokeswoman remained to stress that the target date is technically Monday, even while verifying it would certainly be driven back to Tuesday.

CMS confirmed the adjustment after The Washington Post first mentioned it. The acknowledgement came as candidates run into website issues on Monday, with customers being put in an online waiting line when the device was overwhelmed.

But the firm contrasted the tweak to Election Day, when folks level when the polls close would still reach elect.

Still, the ObamaCare rollout has actually been marked by a set of hold-ups, both small and significant. An additional, letting those whose plans were canceled enroll in simplistic coverage, was announced immediately before the holiday break.

A Republican National Committee representative called the current hold-up an "opaque step" from an administration that pledged to be transparent.

In Ohio, Republican Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor called the target date extension "a clear indication Healthcare. gov continues to struggle.".

"Consumers are currently perplexed and insurers are bewildered with the administration's last-minute changes, yet there appears to be no end in view," pointed out Taylor, who goings Ohio's insurance policy department, said.

The administration claimed that the website was running well Monday mid-day, pointing out Healthcare. gov obtained a record 850,000 gos to, 5 times the number logged by the same time last Monday. Bataille pointed out the system was managing the volume with error fees of less than 1 in 200 and feedback times of less than one second.

Obama said on Friday that greater than 1 million Americans had actually enrolled for insurance coverage since Oct. 1. The administration's estimations require 3.3 million to register by Dec. 31, and the target is 7 million by the end of March. Afterwards, people that fall short to acquire insurance coverage could experience tax charges.

Minnesota, one of the states running their very own insurance exchanges, extended its Monday due date to Dec. 31 amid troubles with its web site and extra-long hold times to reach its assistance. Maryland pushed back its cutoff day to Dec. 27. New York prolonged its target date to twelve o'clock at night Tuesday.

"The deadline for signing up for protection to begin January 1 is today," spokeswoman Julie Bataille stated. "We identify that lots of have chosen to make their last decisions on today's due date and we are committed to making certain they can do so. Minnesota, one of the states running their own insurance coverage exchanges, extended its Monday target date to Dec. 31 in the middle of issues with its internet site and extra-long hold times to reach its support. New York prolonged its due date to midnight Tuesday.

Obama Care 911 Affordabla Health Care Act- President Obama Signing The Health Care Act Into Law

Obama Care 911
Affordable Health Care Act Blog was started to give an opportunity to review both sides of the new law Affordable Health Care Act.

It has been called many names such as: Obama Care, Obama Care911, Affordable Health Care Act, Obama Health Care, Obama Health Plan, Affordable Care Act. But the true name is The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). It was first passed by The Affordable Health Care for America Act (or HR 3962) was a bill that was crafted by the United States House Of Representative's in November 2009. It has been said: at the encouragement of the Obama Administration , the 111th Congress devoted much of its time to enacting reform of The United States' health care system. Known as the "House bill," it was the House of Representative's chief legislative proposal during the health reform debate, but the Affordable Health Care for America Act as originally drafted never became law.

On December 24, 2009, the Senate passed an alternative health care bill, the Patient Protection And Affordable care Act (H.R. 3590). In 2010, the House abandoned its reform bill in favor of amending the Senate bill (via the reconciliation process) in the form of the. Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010.

President Barack Obama sign it into law on March 24, 2010. Which later came to be know as Obama Care, or of late

Obama Care 911
.
It was later challenged as to if it was constitutional or not. This challenge caused it to go before the Supreme Court Of the United States Of America.

The Supreme Court, in a landmark ruling on Thursday Jun. 28, 2012 upheld President Obama's health care overhaul. Including the controversial requirement that most Americans have health care.

The Fight Is Still On To Repeal Obama Care

The Fight Is On To Repeal Obama Care

The fight is still on to repeal Obama Care. WHAT??????????????? There is an on going movement among the GOP to repeal the Affordable Health care Act, better know as Obama Care.

It is not a effort to revise it, you know, just review it, critic it. Find the problem areas and make them better. They want to throw the whole thing out. Get rid of it entirely. Wipe it out. What this appears to be ( to me anyway ) is  a concerted effort to stop it at all cost. Did you know that  this Thursday will be the 37th time that a vote will be made to repeal the law. 37 times. REALLY. to give it a more clear picture, it appears that the GOP is willing to throw the baby out with the wash.

There seems to be no thoughts of the 40 million people that now have access to Health Care that they never had before. Or the million's of women that will be able to get preventive care with no up front cost, that will without argument save lives.

House Speaker John Boehner is officially reneging on his short-lived acceptance that Obama Care is the law of the land, and by holding a vote Thursday to fully repeal Obama Care.

Last November, shortly after the 2012 election, when asked if he planned to spend time on further repeal votes,  Boehner insisted that while he might try to repeal a parts of the bill, the election had changed the situation.  However, it  appears conservative backlash from within the GOP party quickly forced him to backtrack on that claim.

Both House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi & Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid have rightly slammed Boehner designs for this new vote. Which has fundamentally no chance of passing the Senate, much less making it past Obama desk in the oval office. Reid went as far as to say "the vote proves Republicans have lost their minds".

Albert Einstein defined insanity as follows: doing the same thing over & over again & expecting different results. Reid told reporters Wednesday "If his definition is true and I won't argue with Einstein, then House Republicans have truly lost their minds".

Just how futile is this vote? The Congressional Budget Office isn't even bothering to score it. In a letter to House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, CBO Director Douglas Elmendorf explained that his office is too busy to take on the task of estimating its impact, instead pointing out to him the estimated impact of the 2012 repeal attempt, which would increase the deficit by $109 billion.

COMPARE THE COST OF THE WARS TO OBAMACARE

But some veteran Republicans who are staunchly against the law see this symbolic vote as a gift to their conservative freshman colleagues (although it is ultimately a vote in favor of growing deficits) who were unable to have a voice in the 112th Congress 36th vote to repeal the health reform law.
If you are a freshman, the guys who have been up here the last year, they can go home and say listen, they voted 36 different times to repeal or replace Obama Care." Tell me what are the new guys  supposed  to say"? Congressman Mick Mulvaney asked late last month. We have not had a repeal or replace vote this year.
Boehner echoed those comments last week." We have got 70 new members who have not had a chance to vote on the President's  Health Care Law. Frankly they have been asking for a chance to vote on it".
Those members could be asking for that vote because of public perception of Obama Care. Despite an abundance of polls that have shown the individual provisions of the law are popular. The latest tracking poll conducted around the year anniversary of the signing of the law found slightly more Americans oppose than support. It's divided along a sharp partisan likely to benefit Republicans in conservative districts.
The same poll also found that a little over half the country supports attempts to repeal the law, no matter how futile they may be.
SO THE FIGHT IS STILL ON TO REPEAL OBAMA CARE

Top 14 Provisions Of Obama Care

Top 14 Provisions Of Obama Care

It's hard to find anything positive on Obama Care, so I wanted to give a snapshot of the Top 14 Provisions of Obama Care at a glance.

With all the negative information, lets try to see if there is any good in Obama Care.

1.  The Average American
( those making under 400% FLP) will most likely see a reduction in their insurance premiums and 30 of the 44 million without insurance will gain access coverage via the "Obama Care" exchanges, medicare  or Medicaid.
Obama Care offers a number of protections and benefits to all Americans. Beyond the 10 essential health benefits mandated by Obama Care additional benefits range from chipping away at preexisting conditions to expanding health services. Overall the quality of health care is increased, while the cost, in theory, will be reduced. Middle income Americans (those making between 133% - 400% of the federal poverty level ), and employees will be able to use tax credits and subsidies on the exchanges to save up to 60% of the current cost of premiums making insurance affordable for up to 23 million Americans.

2.  Obama Care for Women
When it comes to women Obama Care offers many pros and few cons. 47 million women will gain access to women health services, including preventive and wellness services. Many of Obama Care's new benefits for women are required by law to have no out of pocket payments. There aren't many cons for women beyond those of the Average American, however there is the issue of contraception and it's availability. Obama Care expands contraception coverage.

3.  Obama Care for Low-Income Americans
Low-income Americans will enjoy more Obama Care provisions. Since Obama Care works on a sliding scale most low income Americans, especially those without insurance, will see nothing but benefits. Medicaid expansion will cover over 15 million previously uninsured low-income individuals and families below the 133% FLP mark.

4.  Obama Care for Seniors
Obama Care for Seniors include unprecedented reforms to Medicare, including closing the "donut hole" and expanding benefits and coverage options. Millions of Seniors have already saved money or taken advantage of the no out of pocket costs for wellness and preventive visits.

5.  Obama Care for Businesses
Small Businesses will only see the positives of Obama Care while firms who don't already provide insurance and their employees will face readjustment. However only .2% of firms with over 50 employees don't already provide insurance to their full-time employees. A big pro of Obama Care911 is that it provides millions in tax credits to small businesses with under 25 employees to help offset the cost of buying health insurance for their employees. Small business has historically struggled to provide benefits to workers and half of Americans uninsured are small business owners, workers or dependents.

6.   Obama Care Provisions

Most of Obama Care's 2000 plus pages are filled with really impressive and long overdo reforms to the $2.6 trillion dollar health care system. Obama Care gives 30 of 44 million uninsured Americans access to health insurance. Tens of millions of Americans have already benefited from Obama Care's improved health care services and the average family has already saved thousands on health care costs last year alone.

7.   Obama Care New Health Care Benefits
Obama Care gives Americans access to hundreds of new health care benefits . There are too many to count, and would make for a pretty unbiased (looking) list. However these benefits,(aside form ones mentioned elsewhere on this page, include: No annual or lifetime limits, children can stay on their parents plans to 26, FDA can approve more generic drugs driving prices down and breaking monopolies and protections against discrimination for gender, disabilities and domestic abuse.

8.   Obama Care  Preventive and Wellness Services
Millions of Americans now have access to preventive and wellness services with no out of pocket costs.

9.   Obama Care Consumer Protections
ObamaCare regulates insurance, referred to as the "rate hike " review, enacts the "80/20" rule that makes health insurance providers spend at least 80% of their income on health and marketing expenses or must be returned as rebates and being dropped from coverage for being sick or denied from a preexisting condition are all out the window in the next few years. ObamaCare has a long list of protections that are protecting your new rights, including a mandate on fast food restaurants to display calories to promote wellness.

10.  Obama Care  Cost Assistance for the Middle Class and Small Business

Those under 400% of the federal poverty level (Roughly 88k for a family of 4) could save up to 60% on their premiums via tax credits and subsidies on the health insurance exchanges. Small businesses with less than 25 full time employees have this advantage as well.

11.  Obama Care Medicaid Expansion

Those under 133% of the poverty level will (in states that have not opted out of Medicaid Expansion) will be able to be covered now that Obama Care is expanding Medicaid to low income Americans who were left without enough money to afford insurance and too much to qualify for Medicaid.

12.  Obama Care Improvements to Medicare

Obama Care does a lot for Medicare. For the most part these things are great and have already benefited tens of millions of seniors. ObamaCare closes the Medicare drug 'donut hole', provides improved preventive and wellness services with no out of pocket cost and reforms aspects of Medicare to improve overall care for seniors.

13.  Obama Care Quality Over Quantity

Doctors and hospitals will be moved from a system where they are rewarded for providing quality care, instead of being reward for quantity. Many of the provisions to enforce this punish high turnover rates, this however has some unintended consequences. Some doctors and health care institutions are getting hit hard from this, although the overall reform will create a better health care system for all Americans.

14.  Obama Care Oversight Committees

159 new boards, agencies and programs are created by Obama Care to oversee spending and to ensure Obama Care is working correctly. Having oversight on a reform of this size needs to be mandatory to ensure to program works. It's important to note that ObamaCare doesn't ration healthcare, rather it regulates the health insurance industry who have been rationing our health care for years. Your health care is still between you and your doctor and determined by your private insurance.

Now I know this will cause some stir. Please, please leave your comments on below. I will deal with the negative parts of Obama Care in a few Days.  We need rebuttals.

When our minds are made up, especically on an issue as hot as OBAMA CARE 911. We will live or die by what we have chosen.

My findings are constant as I daily look for information that will help those that visit my blog. Very few people have the facts and are informed. Most go with rehashed points. Many of those points are never proven. They just seem to appear one day, " Someone Says It " and " IT " becomes FACTS. The truth of the matter is if you say something long enough, be it truth or a lie, It will become truth to those that say and hear IT , even if IT is a lie.

The average American really know nothing at all about the entirety of the " OBAMA CARE 911 " bill. How sad because that leaves us to the mercy of the Person's that gives the information, in hopes that they will be honest in how they present it. We would hope that they would be truthful. MAYBE THEY WILL, MAYBE THEY WON'T.  You know be "Truthful" .

So let's see what would be the best way to help my fellow American citizens make an informed decision on their health care options.

I keep looking for answers and find that many, I mean many have their own agenda to promote, so their information seem to be twisted to uphold their POINTS OF VIEWS. Myself included. I believe that is human nature. WE SEE FROM OUR OWN EYES, don't you think?

OBAMACARE AFFORDABLE HEALTH ACT

ObamaCare, again we find ourselfs looking at a statement that came out yesterday about ObamaCare. It  reads like this.

‘Obamacare’ to cost $20,000 a Family? . When you read this the immediate reaction would naturally be a negative response. Especially for a family that is struggling. ONCE AGAIN I FIND THE FACTS TWISTED.

Lets Look at the question as it was presented and the answer the IRS gave as a answer.

Q: Did the IRS say that the cheapest health insurance plan under the federal health care law would cost $20,000 per family?
A: No. The IRS used $20,000 in a hypothetical example to illustrate how it will calculate the tax penalty for a family that fails to obtain health coverage as required by law. Treasury says the figure “is not an estimate of premiums.”

FULL QUESTION
The Internal Revenue Service issued a report in which it estimated that under Obamacare, the least expensive health insurance plan available to a family in 2016 would cost $20,000 annually, according to CNS News.com.
Is this a true report?
FULL ANSWER
This question — and several more from readers — was prompted by an article published by the Cyber cast News Service (an “alternative” news site run by the conservative Media Research Center) with the headline: “IRS: Cheapest Obamacare Plan Will Be $20,000 Per Family.” But the IRS made no such declaration about the future cost of health insurance plans.
In January, the Treasury Department and IRS issued proposed regulations for the individual shared responsibility provision of the health care law. That provision, otherwise known as the “individual mandate,” requires nonexempt persons to obtain minimum essential health insurance for themselves and their nonexempt family members, or pay a penalty when filing their income taxes. The proposed regulations include several examples of how the “shared responsibility payment,” as it was called, would be calculated for single persons and families of various sizes and incomes.
One of the examples from the proposed regulations, and the basis for this claim, is below:
IRS REG-148500-12: Example 3. Family without minimum essential coverage. (i) In 2016, Taxpayers H and J are married and file a joint return. H and J have three children: K, age 21, L, age 15, and M, age 10. No member of the family has minimum essential coverage for any month in 2016. H and J’s household income is $120,000. H and J’s applicable filing threshold is $24,000. The annual national average bronze plan premium for a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) is $20,000.
Beginning in 2014, individuals and families purchasing health insurance on their own will be able to shop for insurance in their state- or federal-run health care exchanges. Qualified health plans offered through the exchanges will provide four basic levels of coverage (bronze, silver, gold and platinum), with the bronze-level plan being the lowest tier of acceptable coverage.
But the headline of the Cybercast News Service report simply jumps to the conclusion that the IRS said that the “Cheapest Obamacare Plan Will Be $20,000 Per Family,” when there was no indication that that was the case. An opinion piece published on Life News.com made the same leap, claiming that “the IRS … has finally released a cost analysis based on ObamaCare regulations showing that the cheapest health care plan in 2016 will cost average American families of four or five members $20,000 per year for the so-called ‘bronze plan.’ ”
For one thing, the example in the proposed regulations uses the word “average,” which means that the “cheapest” plan could, in fact, be lower than $20,000. But more important, the regulations weren’t a “cost analysis” at all. A spokesperson for the Treasury Department confirmed to Fact Check.org in an email that the IRS wasn’t making any declarations or projections about what prices will be.
“[Twenty thousand dollars] is a round number used by IRS for a hypothetical example,” the official wrote. “It is not an estimate of premiums for a bronze plan for a family of five in 2016.”
So far, no one knows exactly how much insurance plans on the exchanges will cost. The health care law only mentions actuarial for the four tiers of coverage — in other words, how much of an insured person’s health care costs a plan is expected to cover. Bronze plans are to cover at least 60 percent of costs; silver plans will cover 70 percent. Gold plans will cover 80 percent, and platinum plans will cover 90 percent of the costs. In each case, the remaining percentage is left to the insured to pay through deductibles, co payments and coinsurance.
In January 2010, before the Affordable Care Act became law, the Congressional Budget Office projected that, in 2016, premiums for bronze plans would, on average, cost “between $12,000 and $12,500 for family policies.” That estimate has not been updated since.
About how much are families paying now?
Most recently, the average annual premium for employer-sponsored coverage for a family of four reached $15,745 in 2012 — up 4 percent from 2011 — according to a survey conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation and the Health Research & Educational Trust. On average, workers paid $4,316 toward the cost of their coverage, while employers covered the remainder.
There is less information available about what individuals and families pay in the non-group market. But a 2010  survey, also conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation, found that, on average, people paid a premium of $7,102. That was for families of two or more, however, so premiums could vary widely depending on the number of insured. And while their premiums are typically lower, those purchasing insurance on their own tend to pay higher out-of-pocket costs, according to KFF.
It is also worth noting that under the federal health care law, individuals and families for whom purchasing insurance is deemed unaffordable will be exempt from having to pay the tax penalty. Those with incomes below 138 percent of the federal poverty level will be eligible for Medicaid. And people with incomes up to 400 percent of the poverty level ($92,200 for a family of four and $44,680 for a single person in 2012) — who are not also eligible for public coverage such as Medicaid and Medicare — will receive federal subsidies to help cover the cost of acquiring health insurance. In its most recent reports, the CBO projected that, in 2023, about 80 percent of the 25 million people purchasing insurance through the exchanges would receive subsidies from the government.
The Kaiser Family Foundation has developed a “Health Reform Subsidy Calculator,” which allows people to get a sense of who might be eligible for premium support from the government, and how much the subsidy might be. (It is just an illustration, though, and not meant to suggest that this is exactly what people will pay or receive in subsidies.) Assuming a medium-range regional cost factor, the premium for a 50-year-old policyholder — in a family of four, with a household income of $92,200 — could be $16,858, according to the subsidy calculator. But that family might also qualify for an $8,099 subsidy, leaving them to pay $8,759. That estimate is close to the average subsidy of $8,290 that CBO projects exchange participants would receive in 2023.
