Obama Care, The Results Are Really What Matter's

The Results Of Obama Care In The Life Of One Person

The Results are coming in, and the outcome speaks for itself. Surely if the bill would have been defeated or even postpone, many and I do mean many would have lost their lives. I say #HumanBeingsLivesMatter

It is not always easy to go against the tide of opposing opinion. Especially when the Opposing Opinion has such commanding control of media.  I want to say to President Obama, I am not in your shoes, so I don't see everything you have to deal with. Nor am I privy to all the information you get to make informed decisions on.

But I will say on behalf of many of American's, #thankyouforobamacare   #obamacaresavedmanylives

Gunning For Obama Care

Republicans Gunning For Obama Care

picture of man with capture Gop gunning for obama care

Are there still elements out there wanting to bush-whack Obama Care.
The Country is still very much divided on the Affordable Care Act. Many on the Republicans side of the isle are still dead set on dismantling Obama Care. That begs the question on whether or not they may be just sore losers.

Really let's consider the reason's why Republicans say they don't like Obama care.

1).Obamacare is mostly just signing up customers who already had insurance. The basis for this claim was a preliminary survey conducted by McKinsey last year, well before the first enrollment period for Obamacare was complete. It generated massive coverage in the right-wing media. Since then, newer data has shown much higher figures. A Kaiser Family Foundation survey finds that 57 percent of enrollees lacked insurance previously.

2).Obamacare isn’t even significantly reducing the ranks of the uninsured. This claim built on the previous one — it combined the prediction that few people would sign up for new coverage with the prediction that those who did were mostly insured. “CBO has projected that 14 million previously uninsured Americans would gain coverage under the law. With about ten weeks left in this year’s enrollment period, we’re looking at a coverage expansion of less than a million,” suggested Republican health-care adviser Avik Roy.
Measuring the population lacking insurance is historically complex and imprecise, but we now have a bevy of measures showing that Obamacare has already made a huge dent in the uninsured population. Gallup has showed the uninsured rate dropping by about a quarter. Areport finds that the uninsured rate in Minnesota has fallen by 40 percent. A study of numerous cities by the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation projects declines of about 60 percent by 2016 in municipalities whose states expanded Medicaid, and half of that in states where Republicans have maintained the party’s boycott of Obamacare.

A graph of the decline of uninsured the ACA by 2016

3). Insurance will be so expensive that few people will want to buy it. We spent weeks and weeks debating “rate shock.” Also, nope. The average plan purchased on exchanges costscustomers only $82 a month. A Kaiser Family Foundation survey of people who used to have individual insurance and now have the regulated insurance on the exchanges — finds that the number of customers reporting lower premiums exceeds the number paying higher premiums.
4). But premiums will shoot up next year! As premiums have turned out to be cheap — indeed, cheaper than initially projected — Obamacare skeptics slowly retreated to a new prediction: Rates would rise next year.
Another nope. As state-by-state information trickles in, it appears conservatives won’t get the premium spike next year, either. Insurers are jumping into the market, putting downward pressure on prices. Expected premium increases appear to be on par with, or perhaps a bit lower than, historic levels:

Chart of annual historical insurance rate hikes

Will all this data produce a grand bipartisan consensus on Obamacare? Of course not. Nor should it. The practical objections to Obamacare are collapsing, but the philosophical ones remain in place. Suppose you strongly objected to the idea that your city should own a bunch of buildings where people can go borrow books for free. (Some people do!) If you couldn’t persuade a majority of fellow citizens of your conceptual objections to libraries, you might try arguing that the library scheme was doomed to collapse in cost overruns, or that nobody would ever use them, or that shelves of heavy books would be routinely toppling over and killing small children. But the fact is that running buildings where people can check out books, and running exchanges where people can purchase basic health insurance packages, are both things that governments can do.
And so conservative objections to Obamacare are finally turning from the practical to the philosophical. In response to reports that Obamacare insurance turns out to be affordable, Roy, who has spent months warning of rate shock, mocks that “other people’s money will pay for it.” Conservative columnist Byron York likewise argues “Obamacare’s ‘good news’ applies only to the poor.”
It is true that Obamacare is far more helpful to people lower down the income scale. The poorest people get Medicaid, which is free. Those higher up the income ladder get tax credits, which phase out at $45,000 a year for an individual, and $94,000 a year for a family of four. (I wouldn’t call people earning under those levels “poor.”) Of course, people who get employer-sponsored insurance also get their coverage paid for with “other peoples’ money.” The difference is that employer-sponsored insurance uses a tax deduction, which gives the largest benefits to those who earn the most money, as opposed to Obamacare’s sliding-scale tax credit, which gives the most to those who earn the least.
But at least conservatives are now representing their true bedrock position on Obamacare. It is largely a transfer program benefiting people who either don’t have enough money, or pose too high a health risk, to bear the cost of their own medical care. Conservatives don’t like transfer programs because they require helping the less fortunate with other peoples’ money.

#Obamacare The Division Of This Country

Obamacare: The Division Of This Country

A picture of an angry couple talking about obamacare

IS Obama Care Cause For Division In This Country ?

Many would argue that Obama Care is enough of a cause to divide this Great Country.

It has been said that Obamacare is the most partisan piece of social legislation passed in the last 100 years. If you are Democrat, for the most part you are for it. While for sure if you are a leader in the Republican ranks you are against it.

In my search for answers I found an interesting, What I think is are the top reasons why people are against Obama Care.
1.   It Represents the End of Limited Government

2.  Its Price Tag is Already Ballooning  (Cost To Much)

3. Obama care Won't Make Us Healthier

4. It's not paid for

5. Individual Mandate Means Less Liberty and More taxes.

This a link to something very interesting: Reopen The Government A MUST SEE

Those are just a few of the reasons why to be against Obama Care.

In all fairness I will list some of the reasons Obama care is good for America- Americans. Well a video:

Okay I am going to give my two cents. For what it's worth.

The message seems to be consistent, the concern is

about government, Not about the people. A concern about government growing to large, and nothing about Health Care for the people that really need it.

All the hard fought issue's in this nation, over the last 300 yrs. has been over social issue's.

First look at the forming of this Great Nation. Independence. Fighting because:

Taxation without representation. Enough to start the Revolutionary war.

Civil War. Was said to be fought over slavery. But with a closer examination of the facts, it appears to be fought over the all mighty dollar. Slavery was just a big part in producing those dollars and keeping an economy afloat.

Civil Rights Issue. The fight to help people to be treated with respect and dignity.

Now we are engaged in a battle still, on several things. But Obama Care is receiving the blunt of the blow. Somehow if we stop it or get rid of it all together it will go a long way to fixing our nation.

I'm sorry, I don't believe that. We have more deep seated problem's than just us over turning a law that can help 48 million Americans plus.

Our problems in my opinion is with our concern, or lack of, about our fellow Man. There was a brother talking with the Almighty one day and asked a arrogant question, Am I My Brother's Keeper.

I think as soon as we can come to an understanding of this one question, the better we will be as Country. Not turning our heads, or walking on the other side of the road, but pouring some oil on Him-Her, meeting His-Her Immediate needs, Taking Him-Her to the Inn, Paying for the room, and if it go over have the Inn send us the bill.

If you think that cost to much. Look at what it COST US FOR WAR

Surly this divide can be fixed. All we have to do is be concerned enough to care about one another, you know our Brother- Sister. I Mean Care About All Of Us Enough For All Of Us To Make A Difference. OH, Thinking out loud again.

Obama care Division of this Country; Shouldn't Be.

FIX OBAMA CARE or WHAT

FIX OBAMA CARE or WHAT ?

Working to fix obama care

FIX OBAMA CARE or WHAT ?    The "What" is the big question.

As the days pass and the problems are mounting with the implementation of Obama Care. You know the Website and all.

The 5 million or so people that will not be able to keep their insurance, or worst yet, they see a rise in their premium payments, which makes it unaffordable for them. (the irony).

The 48 million or so that will not get insurance if this bill is DE-funded

I guess I am at a loss for words. I truly believe that we as a Nation, have within us the ability to sit down and reason together. To pull all of the resources that are needed together and find the answer to this dilemma that was created just because, first, a need to provide and make available  Affordable Health Care to those that need it the most, and secondly a desire to address that need by getting it from paper to people.

So we have 2 camps that are talking in Congress. The Democrats and Republicans

There is one other group that you don't hear from much. Maybe I should say, you don't hear from them with a clear voice. It usually is second hand information.

FIX OBAMA CARE or WHAT ?

*********** "THAT GROUP IS THE AMERICAN PUBLIC" **************

What I mean by that, is their voice is heard by way of their Politicians.

I would like to use this blog as a platform to the American public to give a clear and concise summary on how you think we can and should fix Obama care 911.
Or should we just throw it out?

That platform will be the comment section at the end of this post. I have had over 50,000 people visit and read this blog. Therefore I know that your voice will be heard. you are welcome to leave your comments anonymously if you like or with your name.
You may leave links to other sites to support you thoughts also. I only ask that you do not use foul and offensive language. Or leave links to offensive sites. ( They will be removed).  Please get your message across with honor and respect to and for others.

Why am I doing this? Well, I have had opportunity to start a few grass root movements. The truth is: because many time the ANSWERS COME FROM THE COMMON PEOPLE WITH COMMON SENSE.

Are you one of the COMMON PEOPLE? Please leave a COMMON SENSE ANSWER.

OBAMA HEALTH CARE FORM / Please Share this LINK

Obama Health Care Forms
Please My first request is that you share this link with everyone that needs it. Let me also add thank you for visiting Obama Care911 blog. Again Thank U.

Obama Health Care Form has been streamlined to make the application process less tedious.
The process in the beginning as with anything new will take time to work out the kinks, but when it is all worked out 30- 40 million Americans will be covered, that was not covered before.

Just the preventive medicine alone will save the lives of many that can have access to early diagnosis of disease. That alone will be worth it. The are 3 forms that a person or persons may use depending on there status.

The Department of Health and Human Services released last week new application forms required for people to join the new health care exchanges in 2014—a three-page application for individuals and a seven-page application for families (11 including the appendix). According to Klein, the average private insurance plan is 17 pages and can go as high as 35. An Administration official told Klein that the new applications took on average seven minutes to fill out in the paper version and less online.

Remember Oct. 1, 2013 is open season for Health care. So it's just my suggestion to all that need the coverage or are not sure. DOWNLOAD the applications. BOOKMARK this page. Get a clear understanding what you need to do before that date and get it turned in ahead of the crowd. Here's to a healthier you. May God bless U.

As always if this page or blog OBAMA HEALTH CARE FORMS have helped you. or you have a point opposing the  Obama Health care. Then please leave a comment. Thank U.

RETIRED CITY WORKERS TO USE OBAMA CARE

retired city workers to use obama care

It seems fitting that President Obama home town Chicago would be the first city to openly say, with a time line, that a portion of:

Retired City Workers To Use Obama Care

. To be more specific,  Mayor Rahm Emanuel plans to start reducing health insurance coverage next year for more than 30,000 retired city workers and begin shifting them to President Barack Obama's new federal system.

The move is said to be aimed at saving the city of Chicago money and comes as the Emanuel administration has been trying to make pension cost concessions from worker unions. The details are in a letter the city of Chicago has plans to send to retirees this week still getting health insurance:

Police officers and firefighters who retired between the ages of 55 and 64 and are not yet eligible for Medicare but whose coverage is guaranteed under union contracts. Also included are workers who retired before August 1989 and are protected by a legal settlement. Left out as of Jan. 1 will be the rest. That's when the city will begin a three-year phaseout of the coverage, according to the letter signed by Comptroller Amer Ahmad. During that period, premiums, deductibles and benefits could change, the letter states.

Once this phaseout is complete, those retired workers would have to pay for their own health insurance and or get subsidies under the Affordable Health Care Act. The city-subsidized coverage is especially  important to retired workers who aren't yet eligible for Medicare, as opposed to those 65 or older who use the subsidies for Medicare supplemental insurance.

This guaranteed city of Chicago health coverage was good through June 30,2013, but the administration will continue the full subsidy until Jan. 1, 2014 to protect workers who already have budgeted their health care for 2013, Mr. Ahmad wrote in his letter.
Last year, the city of Chicago spent nearly $109 million on health care for almost 37,000 retired workers and their spouses w/children who are part of the legal settlement, according to a report issued earlier this year by an Emanuel-appointed panel. Enrollment was expected to grow to more than 47,000 in the next 10 years, which would balloon costs to $541 million, the report states.
"The retirement healthcare system as it stands today is fiscally unsustainable, and we have a responsibility to ensure a secure financial path for Chicago taxpayers," Emanuel spokeswoman Kathleen Strand said in a statement when being asked about Ahmad's letter. "But the mayor also wants to ensure that our retirees who served this city honorably have access to healthcare and the critical information they need to make informed decisions."
Emanuel's decision comes as the city continues to contend with unions over how best to alter the city's four pension systems to avoid major financial havoc as pension-funding bills come due in the next few years. Perhaps taking away health care could give Emanuel leverage in those talks.
The four pension systems have about $20 billion in unfunded liabilities. The $20 billion does not include another $805 million shortage in retiree health care funds, which ends up putting the pension funds deeper in an even more precarious financial position.
Chicago Fraternal Order of Police First Vice President Bill Dougherty said: " the city's projections for future cost of health care are too high".
Dougherty called the mayor's plan "a poor decision" and suggested that it should in no way be linked to negotiations over pension changes.
"The mayor has shown that he likes to play games on different levels, and we're not interested in doing that," Dougherty said.
"It's not clear what the pension funds will do about their obligation for retiree health care", said Clint Krislov, the attorney who filed the lawsuit in 1987.
Krislov said: he was pleased that the city will continue to protect those who retired before Aug. 23, 1989, but he continues to study the potential effect of the changes on other workers. "We needn't jump precipitously," he said.
The settlements in that long-ago legal matter, called the Korshak case, never resolved whether the city is required to subsidize retiree health care, and if so, for how long. Retired city workers could return to court to argue that any health care cutback impairs or diminishes their pension benefits in violation of the state constitution.
Henry Bayer, executive director of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Council 31, said: " the uncertainties of the Affordable Care Act and the state insurance exchanges they would create make the city's plan hard to assess".
"This uncertainty will cause anxiety and fear for tens of thousands of seniors who gave their working lives to public service — men and women whose retirement savings are already under attack in the name of 'pension reform.'" Bayer said. "Our union will be working to get answers to our many questions, to ensure the City Council closely oversees the administration's proposals, and to protect access to affordable health care for city retirees now and in the future."

Hopefully this group of retired city workers that the mayor plans for them to use Obama Care will not be left holding the short end of the stick

The Fight Is Still On To Repeal Obama Care

The Fight Is On To Repeal Obama Care

The fight is still on to repeal Obama Care. WHAT??????????????? There is an on going movement among the GOP to repeal the Affordable Health care Act, better know as Obama Care.

It is not a effort to revise it, you know, just review it, critic it. Find the problem areas and make them better. They want to throw the whole thing out. Get rid of it entirely. Wipe it out. What this appears to be ( to me anyway ) is  a concerted effort to stop it at all cost. Did you know that  this Thursday will be the 37th time that a vote will be made to repeal the law. 37 times. REALLY. to give it a more clear picture, it appears that the GOP is willing to throw the baby out with the wash.

There seems to be no thoughts of the 40 million people that now have access to Health Care that they never had before. Or the million's of women that will be able to get preventive care with no up front cost, that will without argument save lives.

House Speaker John Boehner is officially reneging on his short-lived acceptance that Obama Care is the law of the land, and by holding a vote Thursday to fully repeal Obama Care.

Last November, shortly after the 2012 election, when asked if he planned to spend time on further repeal votes,  Boehner insisted that while he might try to repeal a parts of the bill, the election had changed the situation.  However, it  appears conservative backlash from within the GOP party quickly forced him to backtrack on that claim.

Both House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi & Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid have rightly slammed Boehner designs for this new vote. Which has fundamentally no chance of passing the Senate, much less making it past Obama desk in the oval office. Reid went as far as to say "the vote proves Republicans have lost their minds".

Albert Einstein defined insanity as follows: doing the same thing over & over again & expecting different results. Reid told reporters Wednesday "If his definition is true and I won't argue with Einstein, then House Republicans have truly lost their minds".

Just how futile is this vote? The Congressional Budget Office isn't even bothering to score it. In a letter to House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, CBO Director Douglas Elmendorf explained that his office is too busy to take on the task of estimating its impact, instead pointing out to him the estimated impact of the 2012 repeal attempt, which would increase the deficit by $109 billion.

COMPARE THE COST OF THE WARS TO OBAMACARE

But some veteran Republicans who are staunchly against the law see this symbolic vote as a gift to their conservative freshman colleagues (although it is ultimately a vote in favor of growing deficits) who were unable to have a voice in the 112th Congress 36th vote to repeal the health reform law.
If you are a freshman, the guys who have been up here the last year, they can go home and say listen, they voted 36 different times to repeal or replace Obama Care." Tell me what are the new guys  supposed  to say"? Congressman Mick Mulvaney asked late last month. We have not had a repeal or replace vote this year.
Boehner echoed those comments last week." We have got 70 new members who have not had a chance to vote on the President's  Health Care Law. Frankly they have been asking for a chance to vote on it".
Those members could be asking for that vote because of public perception of Obama Care. Despite an abundance of polls that have shown the individual provisions of the law are popular. The latest tracking poll conducted around the year anniversary of the signing of the law found slightly more Americans oppose than support. It's divided along a sharp partisan likely to benefit Republicans in conservative districts.
The same poll also found that a little over half the country supports attempts to repeal the law, no matter how futile they may be.
SO THE FIGHT IS STILL ON TO REPEAL OBAMA CARE

Top 14 Provisions Of Obama Care

Top 14 Provisions Of Obama Care

It's hard to find anything positive on Obama Care, so I wanted to give a snapshot of the Top 14 Provisions of Obama Care at a glance.

With all the negative information, lets try to see if there is any good in Obama Care.

1.  The Average American
( those making under 400% FLP) will most likely see a reduction in their insurance premiums and 30 of the 44 million without insurance will gain access coverage via the "Obama Care" exchanges, medicare  or Medicaid.
Obama Care offers a number of protections and benefits to all Americans. Beyond the 10 essential health benefits mandated by Obama Care additional benefits range from chipping away at preexisting conditions to expanding health services. Overall the quality of health care is increased, while the cost, in theory, will be reduced. Middle income Americans (those making between 133% - 400% of the federal poverty level ), and employees will be able to use tax credits and subsidies on the exchanges to save up to 60% of the current cost of premiums making insurance affordable for up to 23 million Americans.

2.  Obama Care for Women
When it comes to women Obama Care offers many pros and few cons. 47 million women will gain access to women health services, including preventive and wellness services. Many of Obama Care's new benefits for women are required by law to have no out of pocket payments. There aren't many cons for women beyond those of the Average American, however there is the issue of contraception and it's availability. Obama Care expands contraception coverage.

3.  Obama Care for Low-Income Americans
Low-income Americans will enjoy more Obama Care provisions. Since Obama Care works on a sliding scale most low income Americans, especially those without insurance, will see nothing but benefits. Medicaid expansion will cover over 15 million previously uninsured low-income individuals and families below the 133% FLP mark.

4.  Obama Care for Seniors
Obama Care for Seniors include unprecedented reforms to Medicare, including closing the "donut hole" and expanding benefits and coverage options. Millions of Seniors have already saved money or taken advantage of the no out of pocket costs for wellness and preventive visits.

5.  Obama Care for Businesses
Small Businesses will only see the positives of Obama Care while firms who don't already provide insurance and their employees will face readjustment. However only .2% of firms with over 50 employees don't already provide insurance to their full-time employees. A big pro of Obama Care911 is that it provides millions in tax credits to small businesses with under 25 employees to help offset the cost of buying health insurance for their employees. Small business has historically struggled to provide benefits to workers and half of Americans uninsured are small business owners, workers or dependents.

6.   Obama Care Provisions

Most of Obama Care's 2000 plus pages are filled with really impressive and long overdo reforms to the $2.6 trillion dollar health care system. Obama Care gives 30 of 44 million uninsured Americans access to health insurance. Tens of millions of Americans have already benefited from Obama Care's improved health care services and the average family has already saved thousands on health care costs last year alone.

7.   Obama Care New Health Care Benefits
Obama Care gives Americans access to hundreds of new health care benefits . There are too many to count, and would make for a pretty unbiased (looking) list. However these benefits,(aside form ones mentioned elsewhere on this page, include: No annual or lifetime limits, children can stay on their parents plans to 26, FDA can approve more generic drugs driving prices down and breaking monopolies and protections against discrimination for gender, disabilities and domestic abuse.

8.   Obama Care  Preventive and Wellness Services
Millions of Americans now have access to preventive and wellness services with no out of pocket costs.

9.   Obama Care Consumer Protections
ObamaCare regulates insurance, referred to as the "rate hike " review, enacts the "80/20" rule that makes health insurance providers spend at least 80% of their income on health and marketing expenses or must be returned as rebates and being dropped from coverage for being sick or denied from a preexisting condition are all out the window in the next few years. ObamaCare has a long list of protections that are protecting your new rights, including a mandate on fast food restaurants to display calories to promote wellness.

10.  Obama Care  Cost Assistance for the Middle Class and Small Business

Those under 400% of the federal poverty level (Roughly 88k for a family of 4) could save up to 60% on their premiums via tax credits and subsidies on the health insurance exchanges. Small businesses with less than 25 full time employees have this advantage as well.

11.  Obama Care Medicaid Expansion

Those under 133% of the poverty level will (in states that have not opted out of Medicaid Expansion) will be able to be covered now that Obama Care is expanding Medicaid to low income Americans who were left without enough money to afford insurance and too much to qualify for Medicaid.

12.  Obama Care Improvements to Medicare

Obama Care does a lot for Medicare. For the most part these things are great and have already benefited tens of millions of seniors. ObamaCare closes the Medicare drug 'donut hole', provides improved preventive and wellness services with no out of pocket cost and reforms aspects of Medicare to improve overall care for seniors.

13.  Obama Care Quality Over Quantity

Doctors and hospitals will be moved from a system where they are rewarded for providing quality care, instead of being reward for quantity. Many of the provisions to enforce this punish high turnover rates, this however has some unintended consequences. Some doctors and health care institutions are getting hit hard from this, although the overall reform will create a better health care system for all Americans.

14.  Obama Care Oversight Committees

159 new boards, agencies and programs are created by Obama Care to oversee spending and to ensure Obama Care is working correctly. Having oversight on a reform of this size needs to be mandatory to ensure to program works. It's important to note that ObamaCare doesn't ration healthcare, rather it regulates the health insurance industry who have been rationing our health care for years. Your health care is still between you and your doctor and determined by your private insurance.

Now I know this will cause some stir. Please, please leave your comments on below. I will deal with the negative parts of Obama Care in a few Days.  We need rebuttals.
