Affordable Health Care Act Blog was started to give an opportunity to review both sides of the new law Affordable Health Care Act.

It has been called many names such as: Obama Care, Obama Care911, Affordable Health Care Act, Obama Health Care, Obama Health Plan, Affordable Care Act. But the true name is The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). It was first passed by The Affordable Health Care for America Act (or HR 3962) was a bill that was crafted by the United States House Of Representative's in November 2009. It has been said: at the encouragement of the Obama Administration , the 111^th Congress devoted much of its time to enacting reform of The United States' health care system. Known as the "House bill," it was the House of Representative's chief legislative proposal during the health reform debate, but the Affordable Health Care for America Act as originally drafted never became law.

On December 24, 2009, the Senate passed an alternative health care bill, the Patient Protection And Affordable care Act (H.R. 3590). In 2010, the House abandoned its reform bill in favor of amending the Senate bill (via the reconciliation process) in the form of the. Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010.

President Barack Obama sign it into law on March 24, 2010. Which later came to be know as Obama Care, or of late

It was later challenged as to if it was constitutional or not. This challenge caused it to go before the Supreme Court Of the United States Of America.

The Supreme Court, in a landmark ruling on Thursday Jun. 28, 2012 upheld President Obama's health care overhaul. Including the controversial requirement that most Americans have health care.

HOW OBAMA CARE IS BEING AFFECTED BY THE SEQUESTER

There appears that there will be no furloughs among officials that are over the implementation of OBAMA CARE. The director said Wednesday is not furloughing it's workers as a result of the sequestration.

Gary Cohen, said Wednesday that his office has not cut any hours or pay for it's workers as a result of the automatic budget cuts that went into affect in March.

The Republicans are now saying that President Obama and his administration of politicizing the sequester by them targeting the more highly visible programs; like the Air Traffic Controllers, Airport Security, and White House Tours.

Rep. Greg Harper  (R- Miss.)  said Wednesday that the fact that because ObamaCare officials had not been furloughed proved that the administration had mad this political.

Harper said: " We're talking about at lease a 15% furlough of current air-traffic controllers, resulting in delays and perhaps safety concerns, but yet this has been a selective political item by the administration".

Many agencies through out the federal workforce have furloughed their workers, cutting their hours and pay, as a result of the automatic budget cuts known as sequestration. Furlough has caused Airport delays, and extended all the way up to the White House budget office including the West Wing.
( At the time I am writing this blog post which is Sunday. This past Friday the law makers on The Hill just passed a bill to bring Airport Security and Air-traffic Controllers back on. and if I might add, just in time for them to get their flights home. it won't delay them....... HUMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Makes You Wonder )

Mr. Cohen said the Sequestration has effected his implementation office because they are under a hiring freeze.

"We have been working very hard to avoid the necessity for furloughs, " Cohen said. "we are under a hiring freeze, so I can't hire, I can't replace people who leave, which is a serious issue for me in terms of trying to run a program."

Harper said, a hiring freeze "is not the same" as cutting the pay as existing employees.

"Are you telling me, then, that this administration is furloughing Air Traffic Controllers vital to public safety in this country, and yet you're not furloughing anybody in your agency?"  Harper asked during a hearing of the Energy and Commerce oversight subcommittee.

Mr. Cohen replied, "Well, in effect we are, because we can't replace people who leave"
